Three new members of the Northeast Georgia Business Hall of Fame will be inducted Saturday at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville.

The ceremony will take place during Junior Achievement of Northeast Georgia’s Business Hall of Fame Gala.  The annual event highlights the careers and public service of the honorees, who are selected based not only on their business accomplishments, but for their extensive support of the community.

This year's inductees are:

Randall Frost - Growing up in Baxley, Randall often refers to the values instilled through his small-town roots, including the importance of hard work, service to church and community, and responsibility each of us has to help others.  Managing partner with Stewart, Melvin & Frost, Randall’s service has been recognized with a number of distinctions and awards from many organizations to which he has lent his support.

Jim Mathis – Jim, lifelong resident of Gainesville, has served on numerous boards and foundations and has provided great leadership.  He is past president/CEO of the North Georgia Community Foundation.  One of his greatest achievements has been his partnership with Steve Gilliam and Mary Hart Wilheit to bring the 1996 Summer Olympic Canoe/Kayak events to Gainesville.

Paul Maney - Although his roots are planted in Iowa, Paul has lived in Georgia for over four decades. During that time, he has become a devoted community member and philanthropist.  A retired IBM executive, Paul now finds fulfillment in his real estate investments and ownership of several North Georgia-based small businesses.

All proceeds go toward funding Junior Achievement programs in Northeast Georgia.  According to a press release, this academic year more than 8,000 students will be served by specially trained corporate volunteers in our area, teaching youth the fundamentals of free enterprise, business ethics, personal economics, and workforce development.
