Two arrested in Braselton drug bust

A man and a woman from Braselton have been arrested on a long list of drug charges after state and local drug agents found hundreds of illegal prescription drugs in their possession.
 
The two suspects are 55-year-old Clara Christine McDaniel and a man believed to be her son, 35-year-old Jason Lamar McDaniel.
 
Lt. Don Scalia with the Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) and the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force made the arrests on Wednesday, February 8. 
 
Scalia said in a press release that drug agents conducted a search of a residence in the 5000 block of Old Winder Highway. He said they found both suspects in possession of 228 Oxycodone pills, 94 Alprazolam pills, 34 Lorazepam pills, 11 Clonazepam pills, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia. Approximate street value of the narcotics was placed at $9,800.
 
In addition, agents confiscated  three rifles, two shotguns, two handguns and $2,513 in cash.
