A Hall County mailman is listed in stable condition after reportedly suffering a seizure Monday afternoon while delivering mail along his route.

Marcus Tovar, 30, of Gainesville, was driving on Highland Circle in North Hall around 3:45 p.m. when the medical episode began.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Tovar's USPS mail truck traveled off the roadway, entered a ditch and struck a tree after climbing a small embankment. The truck then overturned, coming to rest on its right side.

Troopers said that prior to the crash, Tovar had called his supervisor and reported that we wasn't feeling well. Investigating officers assessing the scene later reported that no citations would be issued in the accident, and that authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played any role in the crash.

Tovar was transported from the scene to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he remained at last report.
