Hall County's Lanier Charter Career Academy will be getting a facelift thanks to funding approved by the Hall County School Board Monday night.
The Board agreed to a total of $8.9 million dollars for the projects at LCCA.
Board members approved $640,000 for renovations at the school, but the bulk of the money - $8.26 million - will go to the construction of an instructional support center for technology.
"[It] will be the hub of all technology for the Hall County School District, both administratively and instructionally, as well as training areas for all of our certified and classified employees" said Superintendent Will Schofield.
The new building, to be located just behind the current LCCA building, will also house two classrooms for LCCA technology students.
The project funding comes from SPLOST V.
