See Deal’s 'Tribute to Patsy Cline' while supporting Hardman Farm Historic Site

Classic country music fans who want to enjoy good sounds while supporting an area landmark will have that opportunity Saturday as the Friends of Hardman Farm host a fundraising concert featuring Katie Deal’s “Today, Tomorrow and Forever — A Tribute to Patsy Cline” on the grounds of Hardman Farm just south of Helen.

“Katie Deal is a North Georgia treasure,” says Friends President Lloyd Summer. “And so is the Hardman Farm. So, what could be more appropriate than having Katie be the very first concert event we host here. To say we’re excited is an understatement.”

This will be the last chance for most North Georgians to see this tribute. “After our tour in Canada in August, we are retiring ‘Today, Tomorrow and Forever — A Tribute to Patsy Cline’, says Deal. “I'll continue touring other shows, but this one, which is my first self-produced piece, is ending.”

Ticket price is a $27 tax-deductible donation to the Friends of Hardman Farm. Attendees should bring chairs, cushions and/or blankets. Food and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Parking is free, and the concert will be held rain or shine with no refunds. Tickets are available online at katiedealtickets.com.

The historic site, located at the junction of Ga. 17 and Ga. 17, across from the Indian mound, will open to ticket holders at 3 p.m. with the concert starting at 5 p.m.
