Demorest Water System customers near Mt. Airy again can consume water straight from their faucets.
The Boil Water Advisory initiated by the City of Demorest Water Department on Aug. 12, has been lifted upon approval of test results by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
Demorest water customers who live on Ga. 197 from Hazel Creek Road to Ga. 365, Cody Road, Kinney Mill Road, Blacksnake Road, North Mize Road, Canterbury Trail, Dicks Hill Parkway, Rock Road, and Antioch Church Road can resume normal water use.
