Several long-time incumbent council members and mayors are facing opponents in the upcoming municipal elections in Hall County. Qualifying for some of the cities ended on Wednesday, while other municipalities had qualifying periods that lasted through Friday.
The mayors of Clermont, Flowery Branch and Lula each face challenges for their offices this year. Some incumbent council members in Buford, Flowery Branch, Gainesville and Oakwood also are being challenged.
