Goodwill of North Georgia in Buford was evacuated for a time on Labor Day afternoon after an employee found what they thought was a grenade in a donation bin.

Gwinnett County firefighters responded to the scene at Sardis Church Road just after 4:30 p.m., and cleared the building of 30 people who were inside the building.

The item turned out to be a non-hazardous training prop. It was turned over to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

The store was allowed to re-open about 30 minutes later.
