Cathy McClendon is hiking the Appalachian Trail for something more than exercise, the natural beauty, or "because it's there". She's doing it to raise money to support spinal cord injury research at the Shepherd Center. The effort named "Rand's Walk on the AT" in honor of her husband who is a quadriplegic, has a goal of raising $25-thousand.
McClendon will begin her jouney on April 1, 2018. Here's where you can help: https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/rands-walk-on-the-appalchian-trail/cathy-lmclendon
