Chase Elliott is giving the Dawsonville Pool Room siren (prounounced "sy-reen" by the locals) a heck of a workout.
The second generation racer scored his second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win in three weeks - and his third overall this season - on Sunday at Kansas Speedway.
This week's Hard Left Turn podcast reviews the action from Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, including:
-Elliott is in the right place at the right time again, as he scored the victory on Sunday at Kansas after Kevin Harvick is nicked for speeding on pit road.
-Harvick again snatches defeat out of the hands of victory with his second pit road issue of the season, sandwiching a dry fuel tank at Talladega. Can he shake this bad luck run?
-Joey Logano led the most laps on the day, but a pit road issue keeps him from contending for the win - despite locking up a pass to the Round of 8.
-Stewart-Haas Racing placed all four cars into the Round of 8. Could we see an all SHR Championship field at Homestead?
-Four drivers were eliminated from the Playoff scene on Sunday, while eight others are set to contend in the final three races before the final cutoff.
-With the Round of 12 in the record books, it's time to focus on the penultment round of the Playoffs, which kicks off this weekend at the tight and tricky half-mile Martinsville Speedway.
