"Bystanders report that he pointed a firearm at shoppers who attempted to intervene," Volkadov wrote in a press statement. "When his firearm malfunctioned, McClure is accused of striking a bystander in the head with the firearm before fleeing the scene."
Volkadov said a Gwinnett County Police Department investigators were able to identify McClure as the suspect and issued warrants for his arrest.
"Our investigators developed leads that led them to the Oak Tree Villas apartment complex in DeKalb County. They notified DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, who generously provided support to ensure the safety of nearby residents as well as their fellow law enforcement officers," Volkadov said.
McClure was arrested without incident around 6 a.m. at 882 Gatehouse Drive, Apartment A in Decatur.
Antonio McClure was transported to the Gwinnett County Jail, where he’s being held with no bond.
