For about 12 years, Eric Elliott, the choral director for Chestatee Academy in Hall County, has taken a group of his choral students around the community to spread Christmas cheer through the gift of song.

This year, Elliot and his Carnegie Chorus, the advanced 8th grade chorus, visited seven locations in Hall County. The 35 students will be making a trip in May to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Elliott said he took the students, all of them decked out in their favorite holiday attire to pre-schools at First Baptist and Lakewood Baptist churches, Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Smoky Springs Retirement Community, the Longstreet Clinic, the Gainesville Police Department and the WDUN studios.

Good Tidings is a special AccessWDUN holiday series, highlighting the goodwill of groups and individuals during the Christmas season.
