A second funeral service for fallen police officer Edgar Flores is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, and that will mean some delays along I-985 for the funeral procession.

The Flowery Branch Police Department has issued information for drivers in the area:

-Between 8:30-9:00 a.m. the off-ramps for I-985 southbound and northbound at Exit 12 will BOTH be closed to all traffic.
-The intersections at Stonebridge Village Shopping Center and Hog Mountain Road at Spout Springs Road will also be closed .
-The procession will then continue to Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

The department says traffic will be affected after the service, as well. The service is expected to end at 1 p.m.

-The procession will leave the church and the intersections at Hog Mountain Road and Stonebridge Village on Spout Springs Road will be closed from 1:00-1:30 p.m..
-The I-985 northbound off-ramp at Exit 12 and ALL Northbound lanes will be closed as the procession comes through headed back to Demorest.

Once the procession has cleared normal traffic operations will resume.
