A rabid raccoon was found in the Murrayville area recently after it came in contact with two calves on Old Whelchel Road.
Hall County Animal Control confirmed Friday that the animal tested positive for rabies after getting a report from the Georgia Public Health Lab-Virology Section in Decatur.
This is the eighth confirmed case of rabies in the county this year.
