A investigation at a Gainesville apartment complex this month led to two arrests and the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs, including heroin.
The Gainesville Police Department partnered with an FBI task force on a search at Glen Cove Apartments in mid-December, according to a social media post from the police department. The investigation was prompted by suspicious activity at the apartment complex, which is located off Cleveland Highway on the north end of the city.
The investigation yielded 179 grams of suspected heroin, nine grams of marijuana and one gram of suspected synthetic marijuana. In addition, officer found nearly $6,000 in cash while executing the search warrant.
Police said they arrested Alex Dean Johnson, 28, and Aleckxandrea Pritchett, 20, both of Gainesville.
