HAMPTON, Ga. - With wet weather in the forecast for Sunday, NASCAR and track officials have decided to move the start of Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway to 1 p.m.
The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 was originally scheduled to roll off at 2 pm, but weather forecasts on the day put the chance of rain in the Hampton, Georgia area at 80% at that time.
Forecasts have the chance of rain beginning to grow starting at 9 am, with strong storms also possible during the day.
WDUN will have live PRN Radio coverage of the race beginning at noon on 102.9 FM and streaming on AccessWDUN, with AM 550 picking up coverage at 1 pm.

When the race gets underway, Kyle Busch will bring the field to green, with Ryan Newman, Kevin Harvick, Daniel Suarez, and Brad Keselowski rounding out the top five. Dawsonville, Georgia’s Chase Elliott will roll off 27th.
