KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Police in suburban Atlanta are investigating a crash involving a dump truck that claimed the life of a pedestrian.
Cobb County police say 23-year-old Dario Mejia-Ortiz of Cumming was working Monday afternoon near the edge of a road in Kennesaw where new construction was ongoing.
11 Alive News reported the incident happened on Bartleson Drive around 3 p.m.
Police say a dump truck knocked him to the ground, and the truck continued over him. Police say the dump truck driver, a Cartersville man, pulled over and remained at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation Tuesday morning.
