Garrin Coleman has been hired by Forsyth County government to fill the newly created position of assistant county manager.
Coleman will oversee operations of the county’s Engineering, Recycling & Solid Waste, Fleet Services and Public Facilities departments. He will also serve as the executive manager for all transportation-related activities and responsibilities and will be the county’s key contact with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Coleman brings to the county nearly 20 years of experience in engineering and transportation-related roles. He served most recently as director of Public Works for Sandy Springs, a position he held since 2012.
His first day on the job will be April 9.
