Hall County funeral home director honored at state DAR conference

A North Georgia funeral home director has received the highest honor for a native-born American from the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

Jack Frost received the Medal of Honor at the Georgia State Society of the DAR's annual State Conference this past weekend.

Frost runs Memorial Park Funeral Homes in Gainesville, Flowery Branch and Braselton. The Jacob Braselton Chapter submitted the award nomination on Frost's behalf for his work honoring veterans at his funeral homes and cemeteries. 

First Lady Sandra Deal received a medal for her work in literacy at the conference as well. Mrs. Deal is a member of the Colonel William Candler Chapter in her hometown of Gainesville.
