*Current and former Gainesville High School students will have an opportunity to earn a share of $30,000 in scholarships at the state and regional levels in a tournament sponsored by the Bowling Proprietors Association of the Carolinas/Georgia.  The top two bowlers from each of the six divisions will then advance to the regional tournament to compete against finalists from North and South Carolina July 27-28.

*The Friends of the Hall County Library will hold its annual used book sale the weekend of May 5-6 at the Gainesville Library.  10am-5pm on Saturday and 1pm-4pm on Sunday.   Sunday’s sale will be an all-day "fire sale," with items sold at $5 per bag.  For more information, call  770-532-3311 ext. 134.

*The Forsyth County Fire Department invites youngsters in Forsyth County interested in learning what it takes to be a firefighter to sign up for a free weeklong daytime summer camp program.
