Up to four inches of rain could fall across north Georgia before the showers move out of the area Tuesday, and, as a result, a Flood Watch has been issued for several counties, including Hall.
The National Weather Service says rainfall amounts will be heaviest in an area bounded by Blairsville, Canton, Carrollton, Griffin, and Athens. Predicted totals include 4.13 inches in Gainesville, 3.86 inches in Athens, 2.58 in Blairsville and 3.44 in Atlanta. In northwest Georiga, less than three inches is forecast in most places.
The Flood Watch is in effect from Sunday night into Monday afternoon for parts of north and central Georgia and some places are also under a Wind Advisory.
