The Braselton Library will be the first stop on a national tour for acclaimed novelist Karen White and her new historical fiction “Dreams of Falling.”
The library staff has teamed with Friends of the Braselton-West Jackson Library to host the meet-and-greet event on Tuesday, June 5 at 11:30 a.m.
“We love hosting authors and are thrilled to be the first stop on her national book tour,” said Library Manager Lori Hayes. "And, we’re so fortunate to have an active Friends group who lend their talents and time to library activities.”
In the novel, the author tells of three young women battling small-town expectations as they come of age in the 1950s. Bound by the dictates of the time and their Southern upbringings, the girls venture off for their high school graduation trip to Myrtle Beach and decide to keep a terrible secret that will tie them and their families together for the next five decades.
Southern Living magazine described this book as a “best beach read selection for 2018.”
Books will be for sale and White will be available for autographs.
The Braselton Library is on Brassie Lane in the heart of the town’s historic downtown area.
