Barrow County authorities are investigating a fatal traffic accident that happened Wednesday morning on Highway 316.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said the crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 53.
"A truck impacted with a tractor trailer and the driver of the truck did not make it," Smith wrote in an email.
The name of the victim is being withheld until authorities can contact family members.
According to WDUN morning traffic reports, the roadway was closed for more than two hours as authorities cleared the accident site.
