The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate an on-the-job accident that killed a Cornelia man earlier this week.
Authorities said 52-year-old Daniel Deiter was standing on top of a trailer spreading a load of mulch at a work site in the Dallas area west of Atlanta.
Deiter fell from the trailer when the truck it was connected to started rolling. Deiter became trapped under the rolling trailer.
The deadly accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Double Branches Road near Seven Hills Boulevard, according to GSP investigators.
