Each new school year brings with it new students and new teachers, but, this year, there's something else in Gainesville, Hall County, and Forsyth County: new schools.
Gainesville is re-opening Enota Elementary, featuring a completely new - from the ground up - facility on the site of the old school. Superintendent Jeremy Williams says he expects a small increase in enrollment at Enota with the school's reopening and the city's restructured attendance zones.
Hall County, meanwhile, will be opening two new schools - Cherokee Bluff Middle School and Cherokee Bluff High School. Both will be located in the building formerly occupied by Flowery Branch High.
And, in Forsyth County, the new schools are Denmark High and Alliance Academy for Innovation.
