Hall County State Court Solicitor Stephanie Woodard has been named to a new term on the State Commission on Family Violence.

Woodard was among 25 people named to state boards for a first or new term by Gov. Nathan Deal last week.

The number also included Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson, Forsyth County State Court Judge Leslie Abernathy-Maddox, and Catalina Alvarez of Flowery Branch.  They also received appointments to the State Commission on Family Violence.  In fact, appointments to that body made up the bulk of last week's appointments.

Two other northeast Georgians were named to new terms on the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Services Board:  Sandy Adams of Elberton and Tom Wilson of Franklin Springs.
