Almost two weeks after a wreck that killed an unborn child, authorities in Forsyth County continue to look for the man who caused the crash.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the accident scene on Canton Road west of Sawnee Drive at 3:08 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.
Nicolas Alonzo-Ramos was the driver of the at-fault vehicle, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. He and two passengers in the vehicle ran from the scene, leaving behind another passenger, a 26-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant. The woman's unborn baby died the following day as a a result of the crash.
Authorities were unable to immediately identify Alonzo-Ramos, but once they gathered that information, they took out an arrest warrant on July 26 on charges of vehicular homicide.
As of Wednesday, investigators continued their search for Alonzo-Ramos.
The sheriff's office is asking for the public's help as they continue to look for the suspect. All tips can be handled by a phone call to Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2000 for information leading to the capture of Nicolas Alonzo-Ramos.
