An investigation is underway after Gwinnett County Police Department detectives find a man shot to death in a Buford neighborhood.
Detective Sam Flynn said neighbors on Apple Grove Road called 911 around 1 a.m. Saturday to report a person down in the middle of the road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 39-year-old black man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Flynn said there are no suspects at this point in the investigation, and detectives continue to interview potential witnesses.
Flynn did not release the name of the victim pending notification of relatives.
