The National Weather Service's Peachtree City Office has scheduled a series of Storm Spotter training sessions across Georgia, including one in Dahlonega.

The NWS says most of its spotters are usually amateur radio operators, first responders, and city and county workers, but members of the general public are also welcome.

The Dahlonega training session will take place Oct. 11 at the Lumpkin County Parks and Recreation Department, 365 Riley Road.  It will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.
