Gainesville, Suwanee men named to state commissions

A Gainesville man and a Suwanee man have been named to state commissions by Gov. Nathan Deal.

Scott Justus of Gainesville is getting a seat on the Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission.  Justus is the assistant superintendent of White County Schools. He has more than two decades of experience in education, including serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, athletic director and principal in Hall County. 

Toby R. Hinton of Suwanee will fill a post on the state Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission.  Hinton is the vice president of financial services at Brenau University. 

Their appointments were among 21 made to various state boards and commissioners by Gov. Deal last week.
