The South Hall Rotary Club raised over $8,000 during its recent Awesome 80s 5K run to support three local charities.

The race featured over 100 runners and numerous local sponsors.

The University of North Georgia Food Pantry, Relay for Life Hall County and the Annual South Hall Rotary Foster Kids of Hall County Christmas Party will be the beneficiaries from this year’s event.

The University of North Georgia’s food pantry program was a new beneficiary for the South Hall Rotary.  Club President Renee Carden explained that the group selected the program because it allows the group to assist in supporting an organization close to the club.
