State Senators Butch Miller and John Wilkinson saluted Hall County poll workers for their dedication and diligence this week.
"All Hall County poll workers were invited to a luncheon this week at Lakewood Baptist Church, and we took the occasion to honor their work on behalf of our citizens," Miller said. "We were told this was a first-ever event." More than 200 were in attendance.
Lakewood's senior pastor, Dr. Tom Smiley chairs the Hall County Elections Board. "We value our poll workers and how they ensure our elections are run with honesty and integrity. It was our privilege to host and salute them," he said.
Miller represents all Hall County precincts except Gillsville which is represented in the State Senate by Senator John Wilkinson.
