One of the 15 suspects charged last week in connection with a major drug bust in north Georgia was arrested in South Hall following a chase with state troopers.

The troopers were assisting the Appalachian Regional Drug Task Force in serving an arrest warrant on James Christopher Hood, 34, Alto.

Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Major D. Patterson says Hood was located inside a vehicle in the parking lot of 4181 Tanners Creek Drive in Flowery Branch.

"The vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, fled from officers as they entered the parking lot leading to a short pursuit onto Thurman Tanner Parkway," Patterson wrote in an email.  "Troopers performed the Precision Immobilization Technique which successfully ended the pursuit near the intersection of Chamblee Road."

Hood was taken into custody without further incident.

He was one of more than a dozen suspects charged in connection with Friday's roundup of drug suspects.
