A $1,000 reward is being offered by the Hall County School District for information leading to the people responsible for writing "non-specific" threats against five male students at Flowery Branch High School.

"The administration was first made aware of this threat on the morning of Tuesday, January 22, 2019 when a student came to the office to report what he had seen written on the stall in a hall bathroom," Schools Supt. Will Schofield wrote in an email Thursday morning.  "The information was reported to law enforcement through the school resource officer (SRO) and a formal investigation was begun at that point."

Schofield adds the students who had been identified by name in the threat were "brought to the office to inform them of the incident and their parents were contacted to provide them with the information that the school had at the time."

Schofield also says a similar threat naming two of the same students was discovered in a different hall bathroom just after the end of the school day the following day.

"Today, Thursday, January 24, 2019, the investigation is ongoing and an additional Sheriff’s Deputy has been assigned to the school," Schofield wrote.
