Flowery Branch police are trying to find the suspects who broke into a couple of vehicles at the Hampton Inn on Holland Dam Road late last week.

A social media post on the department's Facebook page said the incident happened early in the morning on Friday, Oct. 18 at the hotel on Holland Dam Road.

Investigators believe the suspects were driving a newer model Chevrolet Malibu, which was possibly a rental vehicle.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect vehicle pull into the parking lot and between the cars that were entered. One suspect entered a Ford Expedition while the second suspect entered a GMC pickup truck, according to information on the post.

The owner of the truck said one suspect stole a Ruger .40 caliber handgun, serial # 343-98698. The alarm on the Ford Expedition went off when the other suspect tried to make entry. Both suspects fled the scene at that point.

Investigators are asking anyone who might have information on the suspects to contact the Flowery Branch Police Department at 770-967-6336.
