GBI called to Forsyth County to investigate officer-involved shooting

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has called the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to assist with an officer-involved shooting that happened early Friday morning. 

Information on the sheriff's office Facebook page said the shooting occurred during a pursuit of a suspect involved in a domestic stalking incident. No other information on the incident has been released.

No deputies were physically injured in the incident.

Browns Bridge Road (SR 369) was closed for a few hours between Six Mile Bridge and George Ingram Drive while the investigation was underway. The road was reopened around 7 a.m. 

This incident is the 70th officer-involved shooting in Georgia this year.
