A Flowery Branch woman remained in jail Wednesday afternoon after local drug agents found more than $16,000 worth of methamphetamine at her home.
Lt. Don Scalia with the Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) said Rose Marie Weaver, 55, was arrested Monday, Nov. 18 at her home on Old Orr Road.
"During the course of the investigation, MANS Task Force officers obtained a search warrant for the residence," Scalia said in a press statement. "During the service of the search warrant, MANS Task Force Officers located approximately 5.8 ounces (164 grams) of methamphetamine packaged in multiple bags, ledgers, digital scales, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.
Scalia said the approximate street value of the meth was $16,400.
Weaver has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.
Scalia said no other arrests are expected in the case.
