A Clemson University student has been blamed for drawing swastikas on doors inside the Russell Hall dormitory on the University of Georgia campus last month.
An investigation by UGA and the Georgia Bureau Investigation determined the student was a visitor on campus at the time of the incident.
The University did not release the identity of the student, but in a statement, university officials said he has been banned from campus.
UGA has shared the findings of the investigation with Clemson University to see if the student might have violated Clemson's code of conduct.
Swastikas are symbols of anti-Semitism and UGA officials said students and faculty were upset when the symbols were found scrawled on message boards of student doors at Russell Hall.
