Two people are recovering from gunshot wounds after leading Barrow County deputies on a chase near Auburn.
GBI Special Agent in Charge Mike Ayers told the AJC it started when a truck refused to cooperate with a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane on Atlanta Highway Tuesday afternoon.
The Barrow County deputy performed a PIT maneuver and one of the three people inside the truck started shooting at 5 deputies.
Two of the people suffered non life-threatening injuries and crews took them to the hospital.
No deputies were injured.
The GBI will investigate.
