UPDATE 2/20/19:

Gainesville police confirmed Wednesday morning they do believe the man seen in the video running into the store and stealing a case of beer is an accomplice in the armed robbery.

ORIGINAL STORY 2/19/19:

As the Gainesville Police Department continues its investigation into an armed robbery on Park Hill Drive a week ago, investigators have released surveillance video of the crime.

Investigators are hoping the public will be able to offer some clues to the identities of the masked men who robbed the Texaco gas station at gunpoint the evening of Feb. 12.

In the video, the two suspects enter the store and approach the store clerk and a customer at the cash register. According to investigators, the pair demanded money and the clerk turned over an undetermined amount of cash. They two then fled the store on foot. No one in the store was injured.

As the hold-up is taking place, another man enters the building and appears to steal a case of beer from the store. (*See note in update.)

In the video provided by the Gainesville Police Department, the armed robbery takes place at the 2:51 mark. Anyone who has information in the case is asked to contact Investigator Johnson at 770-535-3035.

Since the Feb. 12 hold-up and a homicide that occurred on Feb. 7 at the CVS in the same area, Gainesville police have increased patrols in the Park Hill Drive corridor.
