TALKING ROCK, Ga. (AP) Authorities say a helicopter crashed in north Georgia and that the pilot has been taken to a hospital.
News outlets report that the helicopter crashed Tuesday morning in Talking Rock.
Pickens County Sheriff's Office Captain Kris Stancil says the pilot was airlifted to a hospital, but was alert and that EMS staff were able to communicate with him. The name and age of the pilot have not been released.
Stancil says the helicopter had saws attached and appeared to be trimming trees near a power line. Stancil says at some point, the helicopter struck a tree.
