FLOWERY BRANCH — Freshman Maggie Wadsworth scored the hat trick to lead Class 4A No. 5-ranked Flowery Branch soccer team past second-ranked Marist, 4-1, Tuesday afternoon.
Wadsworth finished the night with three goals and one assist to help the Lady Falcons (9-3, 4-0) to remain at the top of the Region 7-4A standings.
Wadsworth also assisted on the Lady Falcons' fourth goal of the night when she passed the ball to Mollie Langner for the easy goal.
"She's really elusive," Flowery Branch girls coach Anel Lilic said. "She's a great player and a great addition – she's a freshman. She's always dangerous. It really helps us out to have her."
