County, city and state officials will update Forsyth County residents and business leaders on transportation issues at next week's 2019 Forsyth County Transportation Forum.
The event will be hosted by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, April 10 at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College.
"This summit is a great opportunity for Forsyth County residents to hear directly from those who are working diligently to improve transportation and mobility in our community," said Forsyth County Manager Eric Johnson in a recent press release.
The following panelists are scheduled to participate in a transportion roundtable discussion:
- Russell McMurry, Georgia Department (GDOT) Commissioner
- Kevin Tanner, District 9 Representative, Transportation Committee Chairman
- Chris Tomlinson, Executive Director, State Roadway and Toll Authority (SRTA) and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA)
Rudy Bowen, State Transportation Board Secretary, will provide the summit’s welcome address and invocation. Forsyth County Assistant County Manager Garrin Coleman, City of Cumming Mayor Troy Brumbalow and GDOT District 1 Assistant District Engineer, Head of Pre-construction Brandon Kirby will also be providing updates.
