A Gainesville man was arrested over the weekend for a road rage incident on I-985 near Atlanta Highway.
Hall County Sheriff's Office Lt. Scott Ware said 27-year-old Fernando Contreras pulled a gun on a truck driver who passed him on the highway and then slowed down to avoid hitting a deer.
"According to the report, that upset Mr. Contreras, so he passed the truck and pointed a gun at him," Ware said.
The victim was a McDonough man who was driving a semi-truck. Ware said the truck driver was not injured.
Contreras was arrested on charges of pointing a gun at another and aggressive driving, according to Ware.
The incident happened around midnight on March 31, 2019, according to Ware.
