An event to honor crime victims in the Gainesville-Hall County area has been canceled because of a stormy forecast.
The Hall County Solicitor's Office on Wednesday announced the cancellation of the Victims' Rights Week ceremony planned for Friday, April 12, which had been set to take place in Roosevelt Square in downtown Gainesville.
"Residents are encouraged to continue Hall County's enduring and impactful efforts to support crime victims year-round," read a statement from county officials.
