Two of the area's better-known springtime events, the Spring Chicken Festival in Gainesville and Bear on the Square in Dahlonega, return next weekend.
The Spring Chicken Festival is set for a new location this year, Longwood Park, Saturday, April 27. Since its inception several years ago, it has been held in downtown Gainesville.
The Bear on the Square will be held in downtown Dahlonega Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28
