ZF Automotive was forced to close Friday after a fire broke out in the mechanical room of the Gainesville plant.
Hall County Fire Division Chief Zach Brackett said his crews got to the scene at 5531 Rafe Court around 10 a.m. The sprinker system kept flames in check and then firefighters finished extinguishing the blaze when they arrived.
Brackett did not indicate the amount of damage to the building, but he said in an email statement the business had to close so that water could be removed from the building.
No one was injured, according to Brackett.
