A Gainesville man, charged with a 2014 robbery and wanted on a probation warrant, led authorities on a chase Thursday night before he was arrested.

Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Sheriff's Office said deputies with the HCSO warrants division arrested Ranaldo Randolph Crosdale, 28, after they tried to serve him with a warrant at a residence on Ridgemont Trace in the Willow Ridge subdivision off Old Flowery Branch Road, and he ran from them.

"Crosdale was arrested approximately one hour later at a location on Rockdale Green Way at Clubside Drive, approximately 1.5 miles from where he initially fled from," Ware wrote in a press statement.

Ware said HCSO received assistance from the Gainesville Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol's Aviation Division in the search.

Crosdale was booked in at the Hall County Jail and remained there at last report.
