Detours will be in place this week on two side roads along Lake Lanier Islands Parkway.
Work crews will detour traffic on North Waterworks Road and on Holiday Road beginning Monday at 8:00 a.m. The detours are expected to be in place until Saturday, June 22.
According to a state Department of Transportation news release, this will allow the side roads to be reconstructed to tie into the new lanes on the parkway.
