A Flowery Branch church is attempting to fill a bus with supplies for the family of a fallen Hall County Sheriff's Deputy.

According to the church Facebook page, Christ Place Church is doing a Fill-A-Bus drive for the family of Deputy Nicholas Blane Dixon.

Dixon was killed in the line of duty while attempting to apprehend a theft suspect. He leaves behind a wife and two young sons - a 9-year-old and an infant.

The church is asking people to bring a number of things to the Atlanta Highway campus, such items as diapers size one and larger, pullups, baby wipes, baby formula, household essentials and school supplies.

The church is teaming with Hall County schools for the drive.
